The Xiaga mushroom is regarded as a sacred healing sacrament used in healing ceremonies amongst Sioux tribes. We work with select Sioux reservation who have a thriving practice of sustainably harvesting the mushrooms on their reservations.
The fascinating research of medicinal mushrooms and the hands-on education with local Native American communities brought us to the realization that it is imperative for the Western modern world to incorporate mushrooms into their daily healing regiment. The traditional Native American Medicine culture has been using the powerful Xiaga mushroom for a millennia. Traditional Chinese Medicine has used healing mushrooms for thousands of years; Ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans too have used the mushrooms as sources of medicine.
